In this video, I show you the Bartact by TrekArmor Fire Extinguisher Holder Extreme. This is no chinsy roll bar mount! This thing is solid! Additionally, the fire extinguisher cover can be ordered in various colors to match your Jeep, or your seat covers. I have been wanting a way to secure my fire extinguishers (I have two 2.5lb-ers) and this is the ticket. These are awesome! ;-)

  1. it looks like sliding the extinguisher out with the hard top on wouldn't be possible. How feasible is mounting upside down? thanks

  2. Any update on this holder with a hard top? Looks like a pretty sturdy holder, but little concerned with the location and needing to access quickly if hard top is on.

  3. Chris, make sure to tell everyone that this is not a universal fit for 2.5lb extinguishers. this works great with Amerex extinguishers, but will not work with Kidd brand extinguishers as I found out after getting the holder from Bartact. I called them about it and there response was "yeah, it will not fit that kind!"

  4. FYI - Mount them upside down. In a highway accident, velcro bags and bungee cords WILL NOT contain the canister. It will be a missle. Mount so that the extinguisher is forced into the bag in a crash.

  5. +Johnny Twothumb I wheel my JKU pretty hard, and have had
no problems. I do get a little rotation if they are not snugged super
tight, but it's because the roll bar cover twists a bit. Never been a problem,
and never contacted the window. Here's an example of the type of punishment

  9. I just got a fire extinguisher for my jeep and was wondering how you tell the size of it? it says "gross weight 4lb" but then it also says in a different area "Fill only with 2.54 lb" and then physically it looks like the size of the ones in this video
