Did you know you can mount your freedom panels without having the hard top installed? Did you ever wonder what that little "foot" is on the back of the panels that you have never used? Did you even know there was a little foot that you never used? Want to protect the front of the Jeep from rain while your hard top is off? This video is for you.

  4. Hey man love all of your videos. Do your freedom top inserts ever give you a high pitch whistle? Recently mine have and I can't figure out why. Kind of annoying haha!

  5. I have a '14....I don't believe that I have those back feet on my panels.  Are they aftermarket?

  6. You are a genius! My new favorite subscription. I never even noticed those feet before. I went to garage to check my panels, and yup they're there! Amazing idea. Thanks for the heads up!

  8. One thing I don't believe I understood correctly... Did you say you didn't use the bolts when you have the hardtop on? As far as I can tell, they are always needed to seal the joint between the hardtop and freedom panels.

  12. Good to know! I've been caught in rain a couple of times and always worried about the dash and digital displays getting wet more than anything else.

  14. I have a 2010 JKU and I never knew those were there, let alone what they were for. This is an awesome tip.
Like you, I usually run with my panels and when I do run with the freedom panels, I don't use the mushroom bolts.

  15. I always thought those little feet were so you could run the freedom panels like a pop top. Basically to give extra ventilation or let heat out the top.

  18. Thanks for the vid! I had heard this before but you have confirmed it. Question, if I want to just run the Freedom panels without the hard top on my 2016 JK, does it matter whether I have doors on or off? I would like to run just Freedom panels with no doors for Sunday drives, local errands, etc. :)

  20. Why don't you use the rear screw in pieces when you run the hard top? I thought they were mandatory if you run freedom panels by themselves or hard top and FP.
