Do you have a link for the guy that makes the custom mounts? I have a Poison Spyder tire carrier and I do not care for their over the tire hi-lift jack mount. I would love to get a mount for my Hi-Lift made similar to you land anchor mount.
Great demo. A question though; You mentioned you highly recommend closed-system winching.. I'm *very* new to jeeping but had been told that the fewer pieces involved in winching the better.. So is closed-system better just because the line/strap/anchor is less likely to slip off a hook or is there more to it than that?
That definitely seems like the tool to have as part of your retrieval/recovery arsenal if your winch equipped and offroading alone a real a$$ saver. Worth every penny prob payed itself off rt there.
Looks like your using synthetic line on that winch? I know there are pros and cons of each and I'm currently reviewing both before I get my first winch! Hopefully I make the right choice! LOL That Pull Pal anchor looks like an EXTREMEly handy tool to have with you at all times!
he was getting absolutely no momentum before hitting the snow; And the speed those tires were spinning at, I'm not so sure he was in 4 low, or he needed to finesse the pedal a bit more. Good demo though
You realize, of course, that a standard 12" boat-anchor would have done exactly the same thing without any of the contorted dembarkment, assembly and crazy deployment of your "land anchor"?
Just pull the boat-anchor out of the toolbox, throw it out in front of the vehicle, hook your winch-cable to the anchor and start winching.
How much did you pay for that piece of douche-bait? Bet it was many times more than a boat-anchor......................
loool this is areson to by 2017 baic 2.3 turbo 😀😀😀😀wrangler engine is garbege I beat 3 wrangler off road on the street 😏turbo jeep better than big engine
I thought about getting one of these.......now I am! Thanx for this video.

ReplyDeleteyou need spring loaded lockers on the front and rear on that beast
ReplyDeleteLooks like at least in the front you have a LSD, lockers would be better. Though you might still have needed the winch. Good video!
ReplyDeleteGreat video; I enjoy seeing how you've set things up. Can you tell me where you found the "University Jeep" decal? I can't find it anywhere! Thx, LeeV

ReplyDeleteWe have those at my work, but we call them dead mans, because if it lets loose you're dead man.
ReplyDeleteJust buy a 20lbs marine wedge anchor with 2 feet of chain and its the same thing for 50$

ReplyDeleteyou could have done the same thing with a tree strap and a frozen candy bar
ReplyDeleteyou could have done the same thing with a tree strap and a frozen candy bar
ReplyDeleteOkay everyone he probably could have got through it, but this is a DEMO for the land anchor idiots
ReplyDeleteFirst off your not really stuck, bury that thing up to the doors in mud then try your land anchor.
ReplyDeleteIronically the next vid is a demo on how to use a spare as an anchor.
ReplyDeleteSave your money folks

ReplyDeleteGood thing you got those chains on so you dig in deeper rather than just airing down to about 5 psi, and floating on top.
