I just got my new Poison Spyder Body Mount Tire Carrier from http://extremeterrain.com and I'm going to show you the installation process. This first video is just a quick out of the box overview and my process for prep and paint. I am NOT A PROFESSIONAL PAINTER. Heck, I'm not even a very experienced amateur painter. If you have constructive tips, feel free to share in the comments. This process I am using was after a ton of keyboard research... and it seemed to work well for my Roll Cage. However... there are likely better ways to to things.

The next video goes into the full actual assembly of the carrier, and tips and tricks I learned along the way. I'll try and point out things that the manual is unclear on, or the Poison Spyder video doesn't show you.

Here's a link to the tire carrier: https://www.extremeterrain.com/poison-spyder-body-mount-tire-carrier-bare-0717.html

  14. So, one of the most underutilized things for painting jeep parts, or any auto parts for that matter, actually comes from the firearms world.

the paints used to finish firearms are literally more durable than most powder coats.

Google duracoat, its made by larue rifle company, it comes with a resin based hardener that you need to add to the paint, then spray on with a gun, you can also add a special sand to it to add texture, it takes almost a week to fully cure, but once it does its literally more durable than a powder coat.

duracoat has a durability test on their website and its truely impressive. The best part if you have a regular paint gun, its super easy to touch up, which is usually the argument for going with a regular hardware store paint or bedliner over a powder coat.

  15. CPO,  Like your videos!  Poison Spyder is great!  I see you have a backup camera.  Do you have a video for that install?  How did you do the wire connector at the tailgate?  Did you use the radio screen for the camera and how did you wire that?  Thanks
