I won't know until later if this will work with my Rock Hard 4x4 skid plate...but changing the oil and installing this before the install.

Really cool idea, but like we used to say in the military too many moving parts leads to failure. Great review though.

  4. How much oil do these things hold? My oil pan on my 17' is tiny!

  7. I have used older style for 4+ years with no issues. It took only 2 oil changes with my River Raider skids to add this. Very simple to use and no mess!

Look forward to your update especially since you will be replacing your skid plate.

  9. While I don't have that valve I do have the Rock Hard skids on my 2015. You will likely have to run the valve the way you have it positioned at the end of the video and run the tube out the side towards the crossmember that the skids bolt to. You might get by if the hose is flexible enough to bend back around to the access cover port without popping off the valve (zip tie might hold it on temporarily for the change).

FYI the skid on mine is about 1 - 1.5" below the drain plug and the front edge of the access hole is in line where the oil drip drip drips when the pan is nearly empty. A follow up vid would be great when you get the skids installed with a view of the valve in relation to the skid.
