This is part 2 of the installation of the Seicane 10.1 Android 7.1.2 Stereo Head Unit into OVERCLOCK3D. In this video, I show you how to remove your dash and factory radio. I also show how to remove your air conditioning vents. I then plug in the Seicane and let it boot for the first time... and test to make sure basic functionality works.

I was looking for a pure Android (7.1 preferred) head unit that would allow me to tweak it the way I wanted. Let's hope this handles what I need!

ReplyDeleteDon't do it... It's not too late. This thing is garbage. Don't take my word for it, put an oscilloscope/DD1 distortion detector/RTA to it and you'll see this thing puts out a heavily clipped signal at minimal volume...meaning it will destroy your speaker's voice coils. I'm a car audio/alarm installer, installed a dozen of these and not one had lasted barely a year. This thing is pure junk. Look at it this way...majority, if not all HU's that have the functionality that this unit claims to have, ALL of them are double dins. All these reputable brands, with their advanced technology couldn't squeeze it into a single din yet Seicane, a 🇨🇳 brand that has a history of producing trash, managed to do what Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood couldn't? Google reviews on car audio enthusiast forums...people that are into car audio as we are into Jeeps and you'll see the abundance of bad review after bad review coming from the Seicane camp. The only people that give this thing a 👍are those that don't know no better. It has a 2 out 5 ⭐rating. I wouldn't run this thing if I was paid to. But if you insist...I'll revisit this video a year from today to reluctantly say, "I told you so"
ReplyDeleteWhen you do a test of this head unit can you hook up your phone to bluetooth and let me know if this device recognizes songs that you stream from apps like pandora or spotify...Thanks, sometimes I don't like playing the guessing game of what I'm listening to while driving
