Going Jogging #8 - 360° VIDEO! Test Run - Upcoming Plans - I Need an Alignment! Jeep Wrangler - Vlog

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16D88Wcu8T4&w=640&h=360]

So this episode of Going Jogging is an excuse to test some 360° video. I have some horrible stitch issues right over the radio, but there isn't much I can do about it. I tried. We'll see if the next video does the same. I've tried several stitching options, and they all come out this way! Anyway... what do you think.

Like it? Hate it? Meh? Let me know in the comments... PLEASE!

I added this camera to my Amazon store, for those who are interested. When I saw this one was down to $70 I jumped on it. It was a $300-$400 camera last year. I am okay being a year behind.

Oh, the store. https://www.amazon.com/shop/o3djeeps

I'm excited to take this camera out wheeling! I have some interesting ideas!

  2. Audio is great but no matter where I have the resolution set weather it's 144 or all the way up to 720 the quality looks the same it looks closer to the lower end of quality but I still like this type video

Hmmm... It may take a little bit to propogate... its a 4K upload, and while in 360 its not true 4K because you only see part of it at a time, it's def HD. I'm on a desktop tho...

I can easily read the time on my phone or my speed on the TD2. Can you read those?

Thanks. How is the quality of the video for you? Can you read the time on my phone or my speed?

  10. Wait... there are three options.

    1. Camera facing forward. Not moving.
    2. Camera on my face, you see what I see
    3. 360 camera. You do what you want.

    Rank them in order. lol

  17. Pretty cool!! Audio sounds good...the only real issue is the white washout out the front windshield...and the seam in the middle but that's just alittle nitpicking..lol

  19. I like it, but might get old if all the time. Audio sounds good to me. Great deal on the camera! I took a 360Fly (so no stitching, but no bottom either) to Ouray last summer and mounted to the light bar over the roof. Got some great footage driving under overhanging ledges. I’m sure you will be happy with your 360 footage on the trail. Thanks for the videos!

  20. Looks decent on a mobile viewer. A stitch line is pretty much guaranteed on most 360 cams for anything with about 2 meters/yards. The trick is to have the stitch where it isn't too noticable.

  26. Definitely make a video on alignment. Mine has been on the rack twice now and just doesn’t seem right yet after I installed the lift. Been reading on forums to adjust but seeing it hands on would help. Not much on YouTube showing JK alignment. Like the videos, keep’em coming.

  27. Yes I can the quality is better now I didn't realize how soon after the upload that I watch the video so I'm sure that was the issue sorry bout that. Thanks for the follow up and keep up the great videos

  28. Watching on my iPad and I think it's cool. I also figured out that I don't need to spin the iPad around to get the full view but that I can swipe on the screen. Much easier when I'm lying in bed. Not sure how people watching on a computer or Apple TV do it though.

Can you use this camera with an iPhone?

  31. front windshield is way blown out.  I guess this camera does not handle dynamic range very well

  32. maybe move the camera closer to the windshield and see if that helps

Holy Cow, the more I watch this, the more I like it. You have to tell me how to do this!

  36. I like it, can't wait to see it on the trail, the audio sounds great

  37. Sound is good. The light is the issue if you're filming inside the cab. You can't really see outside. Maybe an ND filter or set your aperture manually. Consider strapping that thing on the side mirror on the trail with your window down and get a lapel mic. That way if people want to see your mug they can look in the window but still see the trail and the landscape. Nice job CPO.... love your vids.

  38. I think I would like to see it mounted on the dash UNDER the mirror that I kept trying to see around to look at the driving scenery

  39. I guess I'll figure this out for myself......
