Sorry if the starting point is not ideal... I'm still experimenting here...and haven't focused yet on the starting position for the video. I did get my branding break in there! lol
One of my pet peeves is people assuming that blinding oncoming drivers is just a part of owning a lifted Jeep or adding aftermarket headlights that are brighter. THAT IS NOT TRUE! You can have both a lifted Jeep and aftermarket lights and still not blind everyone around you. Aim your headlights properly!!
The general rule of thumb is 2" drop over a distance of 25 feet.
I talk a bit about how to do this in the video, but it's pretty easy.

360 is great!! No more seam and no more washout from front windshield!! And I totally agree with the headlight aiming issue!!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, also the newer Chevy trucks with LED lights are the worst from the factory...
ReplyDeletemark gueren I'm trying a different camera. This one has some manual exposure control so I can find a sweet spot between over an underexposed. The problem is it's so bright out the front windshield, yet with tinted windows is fairly dark inside. But yes, the stitching is much better Too!
ReplyDeleteOf course... the audio on this one isnt as good...so it looks like I need to deal with that in editing. There never seems to be a "perfect" solution!
ReplyDeleteAnd it literally takes 5-10 minutes to adjust the headlights. First thing I did after I finished installing my lift was adjust the headlights. 👍
ReplyDeleteSpot on!
ReplyDeleteGreat points!
ReplyDeleteThis camera is awesome, can you give details or links to purchasing one?👍
ReplyDeleteThe 360 is really cool !
ReplyDeletesomething I really need to do with my JW Speaker headlights
ReplyDeleteGreat video! People flash their brights at me all the time lol! Can you do a video on how to adjust them?
ReplyDeleteJohn Devost check out my Amazon store. I'll put links to two cameras. One is the camera used in episode#8 and the other is this camera. This one is more expensive, but allows for manual control over exposure, and other settings. That is much better for this application... But the $80 camera is pretty amazing for the price. www.amazon.com/shop/o3djeeps
ReplyDeleteCar Heroes sure. I'll put something together soon.
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaasss. My rant for years -- especially since smartphones have gotten brighter screens, cars getting brighter dashes, etc. people thinking they need brighter and brighter lights until they even forget they're constantly driving around with their high beams ON!
ReplyDeleteCPO, I don't know if you are aware but the audio is broken and garbled in this video.
ReplyDeleteIt must be your stream. Works fine for me just now.
ReplyDeleteI ran into this issue after upgrading from stock to LED headlights on my 2014 JK. It took me a little bit to figure out how to adjust the lights up / down as well as right / left to get them aimed. Great channel.
ReplyDeletePost it on VEER.More people will see your video.
ReplyDeleteI adjusted mine when I lifted mine. :)
