Does it rattle? Is it in the way? Can I get to it? These are the questions I answer in this video...
Rapto Worx Billet Fire Extinguisher Mount
http://raptoworx.com/LP/FEM-1/
RaptoWorx looked at various billet and clamp-style fire extinguisher mounts, and found they could build something better. RaptoWorx realized that vibrations, roll-overs and even UV rays can have an adverse effect the various methods people use to secure their fire extinguishers to their vehicles.
So they built a mount with higher-quality components and craftsmanship that make it reliable enough for racing use and with details not found in other mounts on the market.

No doubt it's nice equipment, but 175 for a mount is steep.
ReplyDeleteWhat exhaust r u running
ReplyDeleteMark Fisch Pypes High Clearance
ReplyDeletethis looks good! definitely going to consider this product!! great videos
ReplyDeleteCould you put a spring in between the mount and holder, so when the pin was pulled, it would pop forward some, which may allow for one handed operation?
ReplyDeleteupnboy that's an interesting idea. I may have to play with that
ReplyDeleteThose things are nice , but man are they expensive !
ReplyDeleteNice product, and a good test. Wondering now if they do any TJ.
ReplyDeletemgtow man it is... But a Mount that's both solid and accessible is important. I've got my fire extinguisher in the rear with the wall mount it came with. I don't like it. I'm paranoid that in an accident it'll break off and become a projectile. I've moved it once or twice already trying to find a safer place to have it, but then it's less accessible. It's a tough problem to solve.
ReplyDeleteThey have the universal mounting solutions... roll bar, or just that bulkhead mount that could mount to anything with two bolts .
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else half expected an accidental discharge when he told his son "You have to pull the pin." :)
