OVERCLOCK3D Gets A New Battery! My Choice May Shock You...

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=096Hna3KAzg&w=640&h=360]

Yep... I got a new battery today. I didn't want to, but I didn't get a chance to choose the timing. I hit you all up on Facebook and YouTube to tell me what you thought was the best deal on a battery. I got a LOT of responses, so thank you! It's clear that people are loyal to their brands! After much research, and taking into consideration all of the comments and feedback, as well as my budget, I settled on the right battery for me - right now at least.

DieHard Gold AGM Automotive Battery

Technology Is on Your Side With the DieHard 48 Battery

The DieHard 48 Gold AGM Battery truly outshines its competitors, thanks to its cutting edge AGM technology, lightning fast recharge, and its ability to retain the maximum amount of electrolytes, produce more power and endure harsh conditions.

The DieHard 48 has twice the life of its competitors because it applies technology that protects it from the inside out. Ordinary batteries crash quicker from spilling and losing electrolytes. They're sensitive to vibration and are slow to recharge. This battery is 20 times more resilient to vibration and recharges twice as fast. AGM technology allows the battery to consume fewer electrolytes and holds on to as many of them as possible. It supplies your car with a lot more charge to keep up with daily demands, and with 250 quality control checks, it out-performs and outlasts the rest.

The DieHard 48 Gold AGM Battery is the cream of the DieHard crop.

It utilizes genuine AGM technology that reduces the consumption of electrolytes, preserves them and gives your engine the power it needs to meet your daily driving demands

It recharges much faster than other batteries

While other batteries weaken due to vibration, this battery is 20 times more resistant to damage caused by vibration

The Spill-proof design protects some of the more sophisticated equipment

Internal components receive further security from the Enhanced Electronic Suspension System

It ensures the proficient use of internal volume for more power-per-pound through the Flat-Plate AGM design

It has twice the life cycle of its counterparts for extended performance

It includes more than 250 quality control checks which makes it one of the most durable batteries on the market

It is made in the USA

This is a re-brand of the East Penn (Deka) AGM Intimidator

Conventional automotive batteries can be extremely intimidated by the power demands of today’s vehicles – falling short of delivering critical dependability and performance. Cars, trucks, SUVs, and other passenger vehicles have more electronics than ever before. Intimidator automotive batteries are especially designed to handle factory installed electronics to anything that plugs in or turns on, and still deliver dependable starting power. With almost 2x the endurance* in severe service and 2x the cycle life*, these batteries are equipped for the toughest conditions and the most intense electrical power demands. Intimidator automotive batteries are also ideal for tuner cars or off-road vehicles, offering superior power for high-performance equipment and a highimpact design for rugged, back road adventures.

• Premium maintenance-free starting and cycle service power
• 20x more vibration protection safeguards battery performance over time
• Faster recharging powers more electronics longer
• 2x the cycle life extends performance and life
• Spillproof design provides added protection for sophisticated electronic equipment

  3. Lots of rebranded DEKA/East Penn AGM batteries out there. I picked up a Duracell Platinum AGM at Costco. Pretty much a DEKA Intimidator AGM in a size (92 AH 49 H8) Intimidators aren't sold in. Got it in my Rover last year. Going to add another. Was around $170.

  4. I always wondered why you haven’t upgraded to a two battery system. I know it’s a tight fit but with all the stuf you have on it would make sense.

If any duel battery system companies out there listening give CPO a duel battery system so he can install it and we can watch the video

  5. Good choice. Seems like the oem battery failed prematurely. Your truck is a 2015. Should have gotten at least another full year out of it.

  6. When it comes to lead/acid batteries people always make the mistake of getting the highest CCA rated battery they can find, then get disappointed when it doesn’t last as long as it should. To get that high CCA rating the plates in the battery are much bigger than a lower CCA rated battery. The battery case isn’t any bigger, so there’s less water/acid in the high CCA battery. The water/acid acts as a cooling system for the battery, so the high CCA battery will be hotter and gas out the water. High CCA batteries have a lower accepted charge rate because of the lower cooling capacity. Now days with gear reduction starters you don’t need a 1000 CCA battery, except in very cold weather areas. To correctly size the battery take the engine displacement in inches, double it and add 100. That will be the CCA rating that you need. For instance, a 350ci engine X2 =700+100=800CCA. Hope this is helpful.

  7. You mentioned the Deca Batteries. East Penn makes the majority of 24 cell and 48 cell forklift batteries. Very well made.

  11. Hmm.. I just realized this battery's three year replacement warranty is valid at any K-Mart as well... not saying that's a huge bonus... but I assumed it was just Sears.
"It's also backed by a solid 36-month replacement warranty. If the battery fails at any time within its first three years, you can bring it and the receipt to any Sears or Kmart store in the U.S."

Do you haft to creat maps directly on head unit or do you use mirror link from your phone to run it. I dont want to make maps and set pins and all that directly from head. I also dont want to upload my maps for everyone to see
