Super quick video to show you one way to change the oil after the skid plate installation. I think it will be easy without the fumoto valve...but I love how easy AND CLEAN this thing is!

This is the one I have. https://amzn.to/2oMJ8zD
This is the drain hose and connector: https://amzn.to/2Nuh5CU

  1. Why not try the stahlbus oil drain valve?

  3. Oil related question; my 2013 jku is burning what Chrysler calls normal lvls of consumption for a 88k mile jeep. Its using about 1quart every 1k miles. I drive about 15k every 5 months and its beginning to be come a hassle to keep adding in oil every 1k miles. Anyone know a cheaper way than rebuilding the engine to solve this issue. Fyi I'm using 10w30 mobile 1. Wanted to use pennzoil premium but for how much its burning it would burn a hole in my wallet.

  4. To minimize the 'oil splash' when draining, look to use a 2l bottle as a tube to collect then drain into a collection pan.
Cut the base of the 2l bottle out. It would take a hand to hold up once you pull the drain plug out of the way.
