The 2017 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited CRC edition builds on the wildly popular SCX10™ II chassis, a proven platform that includes unique features that have made this truck a top performer in its class. High-clearance AR44 high-pinion axles, a chassis mounted servo (CMS), re-designed AX10 transmission case and tough steel suspension links are just a few of the performance parts tucked away under the detailed Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited body.

In 2008, the AX10 axle was used in the launch of the SCX10™ chassis platform. After seven years of utilizing the original AX10™ axle and two years of development, Axial is proud to introduce the newly developed AR44 axle with the industry's first high pinion gear set. The next chapter of the Axial SCX10™ begins with scale realism backed with true technological development!

High pinion gears for added ground clearance & better driveshaft angles

The high pinion design allows increased gear surface contact for increased durability

Larger load bearings used around the gear set to reduce flex and create a stronger drive-train

Single piece axle housing for added strength

1-piece all-metal locker front and rear

Small pumpkin for increased clearance and a more realistic, scale look

Bolt on link mounts

Knuckle carriers and straight axle adapters have a better mounting system with 10-degree increment adjustments

Optimized gear ratio 3.75 compared to 2.92 previously. This reduces torque twist which is typically seen with other small pumpkin axle designs

KINGPIN ANGLE
8 degree kingpin angle
Improved scrub radius over the AX10 axle

AR44 UNIVERSAL AXLE SET
Universal joint axles allow up to 45 degrees of steering and provide smoother action for a higher performing, efficient drivetrain.

OVERCLOCK3D Gets A New Battery! My Choice May Shock You...

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=096Hna3KAzg&w=640&h=360]

Yep... I got a new battery today. I didn't want to, but I didn't get a chance to choose the timing. I hit you all up on Facebook and YouTube to tell me what you thought was the best deal on a battery. I got a LOT of responses, so thank you! It's clear that people are loyal to their brands! After much research, and taking into consideration all of the comments and feedback, as well as my budget, I settled on the right battery for me - right now at least.

DieHard Gold AGM Automotive Battery

Technology Is on Your Side With the DieHard 48 Battery

The DieHard 48 Gold AGM Battery truly outshines its competitors, thanks to its cutting edge AGM technology, lightning fast recharge, and its ability to retain the maximum amount of electrolytes, produce more power and endure harsh conditions.

The DieHard 48 has twice the life of its competitors because it applies technology that protects it from the inside out. Ordinary batteries crash quicker from spilling and losing electrolytes. They're sensitive to vibration and are slow to recharge. This battery is 20 times more resilient to vibration and recharges twice as fast. AGM technology allows the battery to consume fewer electrolytes and holds on to as many of them as possible. It supplies your car with a lot more charge to keep up with daily demands, and with 250 quality control checks, it out-performs and outlasts the rest.

The DieHard 48 Gold AGM Battery is the cream of the DieHard crop.

It utilizes genuine AGM technology that reduces the consumption of electrolytes, preserves them and gives your engine the power it needs to meet your daily driving demands

It recharges much faster than other batteries

While other batteries weaken due to vibration, this battery is 20 times more resistant to damage caused by vibration

The Spill-proof design protects some of the more sophisticated equipment

Internal components receive further security from the Enhanced Electronic Suspension System

It ensures the proficient use of internal volume for more power-per-pound through the Flat-Plate AGM design

It has twice the life cycle of its counterparts for extended performance

It includes more than 250 quality control checks which makes it one of the most durable batteries on the market

It is made in the USA

This is a re-brand of the East Penn (Deka) AGM Intimidator

Conventional automotive batteries can be extremely intimidated by the power demands of today’s vehicles – falling short of delivering critical dependability and performance. Cars, trucks, SUVs, and other passenger vehicles have more electronics than ever before. Intimidator automotive batteries are especially designed to handle factory installed electronics to anything that plugs in or turns on, and still deliver dependable starting power. With almost 2x the endurance* in severe service and 2x the cycle life*, these batteries are equipped for the toughest conditions and the most intense electrical power demands. Intimidator automotive batteries are also ideal for tuner cars or off-road vehicles, offering superior power for high-performance equipment and a highimpact design for rugged, back road adventures.

• Premium maintenance-free starting and cycle service power
• 20x more vibration protection safeguards battery performance over time
• Faster recharging powers more electronics longer
• 2x the cycle life extends performance and life
• Spillproof design provides added protection for sophisticated electronic equipment

11 - Setting off the Omega Excalibur Alarm and Anti Carjacking Mode Explained - 2015 Jeep Wrangler

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uul_Q-4H3Gg&w=640&h=360]

I know some of you have been waiting for this video! In this one... I make some noise! I set off the Excalibur alarm in my Jeep using a couple of methods:

1. Shock Pre Warn
2. Motion Pre Warn
3. Shock full Trigger
4. Motion Full Trigger
5. Hood opening

Next, I explain the two panic modes (locked and unlocked) and why you might want to use one over the other.

I also take a little time at the end to discuss how the anti-carjacking feature works for those who may be interested in that.

Enjoy!

10 - Alarm and Remote Start - Proximity Sensor Install - Howto - OMEGA Excalibur AU-94TM Prox

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVZ5oaYsKQ4&w=640&h=360]

In this video I finally get to installing the Omega proximity sensor for my Excalibur AL-1775-3DB Alarm and Remote Start system. I placed this in the lid of the center console for a couple of reasons:

1. It's an easy location to install, and easy to run wires to
2. It's practically dead center in the passenger area of the Jeep!

This required lengthening the wires for the prox (motion) sensor...but I show you how I used wires I already had. I borrowed some length of wiring from shock sensor that wasn't needed.

The AU-94TM is designed to provide both internal and external zones of protection for the vehicle. When the exterior zone is penetrated by someone, a pre-warn signal is generated and sent to the security system's pre-warn input. When the interior zone is violated, the system immediately triggers.

Features:
• Dual zone sensing protects both an inside and outside of the vehicle
• Each zone is independently adjustable
• LED sensitivity test light
• Pre-wired 4-pin plug allows easy connection to all Omega systems

IT'S EASY!!! How To Program Transponder Keys for Late Model Jeep Wrangler

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiMNugU45mY&w=640&h=360]

In this video I show you how easy (and HARD) it is to add a new key for your late model Jeep. This process is likely similar for a variety of videos... so check out the link I share in the video for detailed instructions for whatever vehicle you have. These are the keys I am adding: http://amzn.to/2yroqbV. You can also get versions of these keys with the transceiver (buttons) and the programming steps are the same.

I added these keys because since I installed the Omega Excalibur alarm system, I no longer need the large factory Jeep key. This allows me to save some bulk and weight in my pocket.

[REPOST] AOAA Wheeling Trip - 10-7-17 - OVERCLOCK3D, a built TJ, and a Stock TJ - Seicane Footage

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7izTbrMDek&w=640&h=360]

[Sorry had to repost thanks to a Drake song playing in the background of one of the scenes that caused my video to be blocked in ALL COUNTRIES! lol]

A couple of us from the office got together out at Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania for some easy going wheeling. We had a new Jeeper with us who was wanting to take his stock new-to-him TJ out before he started installing his lift kit.

I hope you enjoy the video.

Oh... here is the link to the Seicane stereo...since I always get so many questions about that. Seicane Model S18JP25 — http://bit.ly/S18JP25

In this video, I plug everything into the brain (except for the final two optional sensors I'll add later) and tuck it away in it's new home. I show you how to program the blade to recognize and operate with your specific vehicle, and I show you how to use Vehicle Learn to handle a bunch of programming steps... automatically!

Here's the playlist containing all of the videos for this install:

Here's the OMEGA Excalibur Video on Vehicle Learn:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi1rEJjuGF0

Vehicle Learn is a patent pending technology introduced with the new Excalibur 70 series remote start line. It's one of several time saving installation technologies developed for the 70 series. In less time than programming one feature manually, you can accomplish the following:

- Set engine type
- Automatically recognize the ignition switch sequence and configure all primary outputs to match
- Confirm how many circuits were detected and that connections are good
- Automatically detect and select proper data port protocols
- Automatically detect and select the best available engine detection method
- Enable manual transmission reservation mode
- and a few more tricks up our sleeves...

So you want to install an alarm system and remote start into your Jeep Wrangler? Well… this is the page for you! What follows below is the complete video series regarding the selection, overview, installation, setup, and howtos of the Omega Excalibur AL-1775-3DB security system and remote start I installed in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler with automatic transmission. If you happen to have the same vehicle (including similar years) then this page should be a step-by-step guide for you. If you have a manual transmission, there will be some additional steps and wiring for you, and what exactly depends on what year your Jeep is. I tried to mention some of those things throughout the video series. If you have a 2017 or newer, also note that the access to the ignition switch harness is a little different. I’ll also try and help you out there.

Please watch all of the videos BEFORE YOU START your own installation. This is important because I may point out things in later videos that would be helpful to know about early on. It’s just part of the process. Once I get into the install, I know more about what exactly needs to be done, versus what I believe needs to be done. A great example of this is the wiring for the parking lights. In the wiring prep video, I told you that you needed three wires for this because that was the industry standard based on how the Jeeps were wired. However, in actual testing during the install (and working closely with the tech guys at Omega Research and Development) I found that only one wire was really needed. So I modified the harness from the original 9 wires, down to 7!! BONUS!!!

In this video we complete all of the wiring for the basic system. I still have a proximity sensor and hood tilt sensor to wire in, but I'll do that later. The final wiring demonstrated in this video is the two power connections to the OBD-II port, the ground connection, the parking lights tap, and wiring in the horn, hood pin switch, and the siren. The only thing left to do after this is basically plug in the brain of the Omega Excalibur 1775 and run through a couple of easy self-programming steps for the system and the remote start capability. We're so close to being done!!! Next video gets you operational, I promise!!!!

Now we're getting into the good stuff! Let's pop the hood and start bolting things on! In this video I continue the Omega Excalibur AL-1775-3DB Alarm and Remote Start installation in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler (Automatic Transmission). Now we get to go to the vehicle and start the actual installation process.

Set aside several hours for this install if it's your first time, and make sure you watch ALL of the videos first before starting. There are some times I do something one way, and then change it up as I get further along and realize I need to go a different direction. It's just the nature of the beast! But this is a real install... not a marketing video, so you get to see those things and how I handle them!

This was much easier than I expected!

I Parked my Jeep on a DEWALT Cooler!

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuyeftQ-qSw&w=640&h=360]

DEWALT's new line of coolers are guaranteed tough. But, can they handle the weight of my bloated pig of a Jeep Wrangler - OVERCLOCK3D? I had to try. This is the small lunch sized cooler. Came out pretty much unscathed. Thankfully. I like this cooler.

DEWALT did not ask me to do this, nor do they know that I did it. (They may know now, however, lol!) They did send me this cooler at no cost to me, but they had no idea what I might do with it. Good thing for all of us that it really is as tough as I hoped it would be. I'm pretty sure DEWALT won't be sending me any more presents, though... lol. Sorry! I had to try this!
