In this video I share with you the process for aiming your headlights. This is important if you changed lights, like I did, or if you make any other vehicle modifications that will impact the aim or adjustments of your headlights (lift kit, tires, etc).
The lights installed are these:

Thanks for sharing π. Very few people are aware or unable to grasp this notion of headlamps requiring adjustment. π
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips, CPO!!! One thing I've noticed, i don't know if its my ocd or just the camera picking it up a lot more, but your antenna is getting in the way of the beautiful lighting thus creating a thick long shadow to the left. :)
ReplyDeleteHello π superbe Travail pour les JEEPER ππ―ajustement
ReplyDeleteYah.. that's the one downside of the front mounted antenna. It's not something that I notice in actual use, but as you can tell, there is a shadow from it. You can only see it when you are up close to the wall, I think.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. That's what I was thinking, that you dont notice it at all during in real world use and only the camera picked it up more.
ReplyDeleteJust shared this with three of my Jeep Clubs. So important. The Wifey & I run #JWSPEAKER J series LEDs on both of our Jeeps. Mine has a 3.5" lift on 35s. I adjust 3" down over 25'. My wife's JKU has a 2" leveling on 33s. I adjusted down 2" over 25'. No more flashing from oncoming traffic. Just being a good human. Thanks for the video.
ReplyDeleteSo far I haven't gotten a single flash from the current settings. But my opinion is that if oncoming drivers think your lights are blinding, it's your fault not theirs!
ReplyDeleteZactly!
ReplyDeleteI had this “discussion” with my father. I actually taught him something for a change. "High" beam and "Low" beam are light direction. Not intensity. He actually conceded to my argument. Stating, “You may have something there, Son”.
ReplyDeleteJust picked a spot in the...2:40....there is a defined angle that looks like a forward slash ( / ) and the lighting seems to be higher on the passenger side than that of the drivers side. Curious as to why this is? Personal i would think it should be level. Otherwise i enjoy your videos and your rig is sweet looking.
ReplyDeleteIt's so that the light is cut a little lower on the side of oncoming traffic. It's the DOT beam pattern. http://www.retrofitlab.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/dot-ece-cutoff.jpg
ReplyDeleteDid the grocery store call the police for suspicious activity? π
ReplyDeleteyou can adjust left to right also, ive seen it on other youtube videos, you have to actually remove headlight the adj. bolt is below, you screw an adj nut one way it moves headlight mount to the left and other way it moves it to the right
ReplyDelete4everjeeper yeah. The European market models are adjustable left/right but the US ones require small modification. Thats why I didn't do that. They can't be adjusted without modification
ReplyDeleteDone mine after I installed jw speaker evolution j headlights, never once did i get hi beamed with stock lights on lifted jeep (those r junk) but these new ones r whole nother story
ReplyDeletethere is a mod to add left and right adjustment!
ReplyDeleteUS ones can, without modification, you just have to remove the light and adjust the nut with an open-end wrench, reinstall the light and check it, and adjust some more. It’s a real pain lol.
ReplyDeletethat's what I thought, I seen a video of it on youtube
