I’d say over the ear.... but let me finish the vid...lol
ReplyDeleteWow wasn’t even close...great sound on the Britney model. It sounded like you ditched the wheels and were floating on a magic carpet
ReplyDeleteI came down here to make my prediction as directed. Totally ruined the suspense. Thanks Internet.
ReplyDeleteWow. What a difference! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteSurprise result for me. Have a similar Plantronics and it's awesome in less open vehicles...
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinately the Boy Band model! So Quiet and Clear! Good Video!
ReplyDeleteI honestly couldn't believe it when I listened to the recording!
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy...
ReplyDeleteI know, right!
ReplyDeleteHaha... don't read the other comments when you make your prediction! lol
ReplyDeleteo3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] that wasnt in the instructions. :P
ReplyDeleteo3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] definitely going to look into that headset! Very clear considering the noise. I don't usually make or take calls when I'm driving the jeep because of this very problem. This looks like a solution!
ReplyDeleteI think the blue parrot is the best one because with the other one the voice is a little annoying
ReplyDeleteI thought so....( I just got to work when I posted, had to wait till my break to finish watching lol) I’m thinking it’s because of the “boom” style mic.... it brings it closer to your mouth and can be more directional.... the smaller one, being further away, has to be more omni directional to be able to pick up your voice which makes it harder to cancel out other noises.
ReplyDeleteThis video is gonna sell a lot of the Blue Parrot headsets.
ReplyDeletevoice was better on parrot, although there was more traffic when you were using the plantronics then the blue parrot, so not really sure an accurate test, would have like to have seen more traffic to see how well the parrot cancelled out traffic noise.
ReplyDeleteNow I just need to hook this up to a cb and be able to listen to music through my phone too.
ReplyDeleteObviously we know now which one is better. However. Which one can you hear other people with.
ReplyDeleteThe BlueParrot @ 65mph was surprisingly clear. Great test 👍
ReplyDeleteHere's what I do. No one wants to hear me talk to my wife on the road, so I cut out the audio and replace it with voice over narration with my microphone on my PC
ReplyDeleteSo you make videos of you driving around talking to your wife on the phone and then record voiceovers to lay on top of it? Sounds fascinating. :-)
ReplyDeleteUh no..The dashcam is on and no one wants to hear my conversation with my wife. It was an alternative to using a bluetooth headset. Obviously you want to be a Richard Cranium. I'm gone....
ReplyDeleteTalez From the DashCam dude. Lighten up. Maybe you missed the smiley face...
ReplyDeleteHello Chris very well thes
ReplyDeleteThank you very much davoire sharing
ReplyDeleteBest Jeep Mod ever. I picked up the BlueParrott this morning and used it all the way to work. BEST JEEP MOD EVER. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBlue parrot
ReplyDeleteTry the blue tiger elite
ReplyDeleteHey CPO with a little bit of effort you can learn to program the blue parrot unit so the very top button is a speed dial button and you can also just tap the bottom square button and use Siri on your phone very easily and 100% hands free from the phone. I drive a semi for a living and had the blue parrot bt350 for 3+ years with no issues and I’ve upgraded to the BT450 and have had it several months it’s the same basic size of the 350 but the headband is wider and has a cushion on it and the ear piece is also larger with more cushioning I stand behind either unit as I use mine daily as a long haul trucker both will last all day and recharge within a hour or so keep up the great videos and hope to see more work on CJ’s Tj as I own a Tj that I’m doing a Ls swap on
ReplyDeleteMUDTRAIL I used a Blue parrot headset for about three years they have plenty of volume plus the cushion on the ear piece cuts back so background sounds I’m currently using Blue parrot bt 450 and it works flawlessly as I am A over the road truck driver
ReplyDeleteSorry for the hair trigger. I did miss the emoticon. I thought you were serious.I should have known better. BTW can you give us a post mortem review of the CB? I would like to see the final install and your opinion of the digital squelch.
ReplyDeleteGood vid and info
ReplyDeleteGreat video. Love the blue parrott. So much clearer sound even when the sun screen was off. Great test. thanks
ReplyDeleteHow is it for you to hear a call? is there a difference? Is the over the head legal in MD?
I was thinking that the blue parrot one has that foam cover on the mic that might aid in reducing wind noise. I know it seems like you shouldn't have to hack noise cancelling headsets but what if you put a "dead cat" on the other one... you know, like the piece of fur used to cut out wind noise. I know that GoPro sells a little sticky one for their cameras.
ReplyDeleteExactly why I didn't! Haha
ReplyDeleteMUDTRAIL had the same question?
ReplyDeletewas wondering if you have made any adjustments from the first video you did with the blue parrott headset. It is cutting a lot more noise out during this video than the first one.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure which other video you are referring to.
ReplyDeleteSorry here is the title. "Going Jogging #13 - Coffee Run and BlueParrott B350-XT Headset Testing"
ReplyDeleteChris Hendrickson ah yeah. Forgot about that video. Lol. Both have no extra noise cancellation or reduction in editing. I am not sure why they sound different.... I wonder if it matters how loud the background noise is when initiate the headset. Not sure tho.
ReplyDeleteOk Awesome. Thanks for the replies and great videos!!
ReplyDeleteBlue parrot. Got one at the recommendation of other truckers when I started driving therm. When you get a conference call going, everyone can tell when someone is using 'some other device'. Although the other party/parties can hear quite well, I can't quite get the volume I need out of it (especially when driving 'naked') to hear the other party... this results in me now YELLING (mostly just to hear myself). I'm still looking into motorcycle headsets...
ReplyDeletewow. Sounds great in your ride!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I can tell you were starting to struggle with the same dilemma -- beginning to yell because you can't hear yourself. [I'll let the video finish before I comment anymore]
