I have a new trail cover! After my last cover failed to meet my needs, I went shopping and decided on this one. I'm super happy with it, and while it's bigger, and heavier, it's also way more awesomer! :-)
Here's the info from their website:

Very heavy duty πΊπΈ American made, too. Looks like great quality, fits like a glove. ⭐.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's pretty nice. Fits snug, but not so tight that you can't easily work with it.
ReplyDeleteHello dommage qu’il ne livrer pas en France paris π«π· j’aime π dommage
ReplyDeleteGreat Video! You do a Great Job detailing and explaining everything!
ReplyDeleteGreat video!! As usual you go above and beyond in great detail. Looks like a lot of work to it to video, believe me it’s worth it. Thank you!π
ReplyDeleteWhat this guy said.
ReplyDeleteMurica π
ReplyDeleteMine keeps setting off my Proximity sensor on windy days.
ReplyDeleteMine keeps setting off my Proximity sensor.
ReplyDelete+Chicago Pedaler Project i did some quick testing and i havent had it triggee moving the cover aound. You might have to turn down the sensitivity... But ill def be keeping an eye on it.
ReplyDeleteBtw... On your system can you disable the prox sensor easily (via the remote)?
ReplyDeleteYou should ask... they may do it!
ReplyDeleteCrazy timing CPO. I was just looking at those two days ago was gonna order one soon.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great resource to make my decision... http://www.wranglerforum.com/f274/jeep-cover-review-bestop-vs-rain-gear-1798889.html#/topics/1798889?page=5
Also this works to help repel water on the winch cover so it may work on the raingear cover.... https://www.goldeagle.com/product/303-marine-recreation-aerospace-protectant/
Thanks for your great reviews!
I read that thread during my research too! Also.. I didn't mention this...but you get a free hat with Rain Gear! lol
ReplyDeleteThank you!, I was just about to purchase a smittybuilt cover for around the same price, these look to be a better option and they match my Black jku.
ReplyDeleteI was actually surprised doing my research on this cover that noone on youtube had reviewed this product. You got that one in the bag now. Your review will def. help others in their search for JK rain covers. Well done sir!
ReplyDeleteSame here! I pretty much start all my research on YouTube....and there was like 3 videos from 4-6 years ago! I think part of the problem is that people tend to shop in one-stop shops... Quadratec, etc... so since these aren't sold by third party (that I know of) they are sorta hidden in the background of the Internet! I knew about them from seeing one on a Jeep at a show a couple of years ago...
ReplyDeleteGreat video as always! Quality product. I've had mine for over 10 years
ReplyDeleteNice product review. The only thing that would be nice is magnets sewn into the front by the doors to make a seal along the front
ReplyDeleteFunny you mentioned that! I was thinking about that yesterday, and I plan to figure out a way to add a couple of magnets! I was trying to decide the best way and what size magnets I want to use.... Have you do it?
ReplyDeleteI does look really good.... Have you tried using a leaf blower to simulate wind because my worries is when we have high winds (or random high gust) and rain, those edges around front door that will flap around (even though its tightly tied down) and potentially get water inside. Maybe use magnets to secure it more?
ReplyDeleteI'm actually trying to decide how I want to do the magnets. I think that's a simple fix for that front opening... which is mostly there because of my rails. I am trying to decide if I want to sew some magnets in... or do something remove able, like a magnet bar that I can slap on.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have something in mind. Sewing some magnets sounds good too!
ReplyDeleteo3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] I haven't done it. I would try the magnetic strips (has a tape backing) that comes in a roll. I would then cut a slit in the vinyl side, slide it in and tape or patch it back up.
ReplyDeleteSo I actually have a roll of that magnetic tape at the house! You and I must be running the same frequency! lol
ReplyDeleteo3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] Probably on the same frequency. Love the build. Keep up the awesome work. @jkjourneys
ReplyDeleteDid you try the cover in the rain yet? Want to know if water gets through?
ReplyDeleteKind of excited to get this. Thanks for the video link. On IG as slvr_jkur_nutmeger12 so this definitely will be a future purchase.
