I ran a snorkle up to the engine bay for the ARB air intake. Don't really need it unless the compressor comes on while under water which would be rare

ReplyDeleteGears are 488, at 10,500 ft lots of HP is gone about 4% per 1000 feet so -40% HP The Toyo MTs are very heavy as well. In the winter I run 37 KO2 very light and actually 36 inch so noticeably more power

ReplyDeleteScott Bove Okay good to know. Just seemed like the pulls through each gear were super long. I don’t own the 5 speed either though so just a set of ratios I am unfamiliar with in the real world. Yes ko2 37s are about 18-20 Lbs lighter a tire vs Toyo MT if I remember right. That’s what I run. Thanks for update really awesome setup overall. That transmission is one of the reasons I’ll probably LS swap my JK. I want to run a 6L80 or possibly a 6L90/8L90. Too bad the 8hp70 hasn’t become a valid swap choice yet. The addition of the paddle shifters in this build was really unique.

this is awesome, I used to have a Grand Cherokee and the only thing I miss is the paddle shifters with the ZF transmission. This plus the Hemi would be awesome

THAT'S IT. NO OTHER MODS.
That configuration would fetch 20mpg highway guaranteed with a light foot at sea level, gotta love the ZF 8 speed, which shaved a second off the 3.6's 0-60 time as opposed to the 5 speed and around .4 off the 6 speeds, and its highway mileage is incredible.
We'd be looking at a 500hp wrangler with full underbody protection, steel bumpers, best in production ground clearance, approach, departure, break over angles. weighing less than 4000lbs with less than 10lbs per horsepower, capable of sustaining 120mph on dirt, and 400ish highway miles on a tank of fuel.
