In this video I finish installing a complete Team Tech Offroad Rubicon Swaybar with TTO Pneumatic Conversion Kit! What does this mean? Well, I'm putting an air activated disconnecting swaybar in my Jeep! Check it out. BUT WAIT! I am also using one of the new AIR daisy-chain-able air solenoids. This is fantastic. If you need to add an additional air line to your setup and don't want to install a manifold... this is the way to go!

I love it when a plan works out unexpectedly well.
ReplyDeleteThe Sarge sometimes I just get lucky. Lol
ReplyDeleteExcellent install video on an upgrade that will be appreciated when the time comes to disconnect. Discount code helps reduce the payment pain. Talked to TTO and they RTV their adapter on to stop mud/water entry into the sway bar mechanism.
ReplyDeletea. ggrex Are adding this to your ride? I can't wait to go wheeling again and just flip a switch lol
ReplyDeleteHave the Rubi+TTO in the cart but wanted to watch your Part-II video first for tips and wrap up. The OEM part from various sources is priced higher probaby for the nannie infested electronic part.... lol
ReplyDeletea. ggrex yeah. I looked around locally and it was just easier order the complete set (after the negotiated free shipping!) As it was to source a local one and then install the TTO actuator. No regrets with the decision. It's exactly what I was looking for. The hardest part was this last part... Figuring out how to get it integrated into my air setup. And that turned out to be pretty easy.
ReplyDeleteaaaand im adding this to my rig. no more getting out to reconnect sway bars!!
ReplyDeleteChris Meacham I know right!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the video. I love the idea of in cab disconnect for the sway bar but had heard that the Rubicon sway bar electrics can sometimes have issues. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go that route as a full on upgrade. But the air controlled setup gets rid of all the electronics which is awesome.
ReplyDeleteYeah.. that's why I did it. This has all of the benefits, without the problems! lol
ReplyDeleteI thinking the same thing Chris!
ReplyDeleteA lot a trouble to Install something that’s known to fail and is less effective than a Currie antirock which you can install in under an hour and you have to do nothing but wheel !
ReplyDeleteDavid Bowie it's the electronics that are known to fail. I didn't install those. Currie antirock is mediocre on the street. Meh.
ReplyDeleteOh... And this may have been under an hour to install...
ReplyDeleteI know this is off topic but I had some questions about your experience with the tread right guard dogs. Would you mind if I asked you in the comments of this video or would you rather me on the guard dog review
ReplyDeleteDo yourself a favor if you're relying on air for all these components and get yourself the braided stainless air lines. The heat under the hood may cause those lines to fail and of course it will be at the least opportune time.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we just get lucky, that pass through solenoid is a nice idea and it comes to us from industrial pneumatic controls. I have been considering adding a rear locker to my Jeep, I just don't know if I really need one. I don't rock crawl, mostly trail riding and sand sometimes. How often have you actually had to use your lockers? Help me fall off the fence! Great video Chief, thanks.
