In this video, I am overclocking my rear cargo security. While my previous setup was good at covering the cargo area... the Slipstream secures it!

SLIPSTREAM XLS (4 Door)
https://diabolicalinc.com/slipstream-4-door.html
This all inclusive secure cover system is made for the Jeep Wrangler JKU/JLU from 2007 to present day. It is made of thin gauge steel and is fully powder coated. It has a vertical 3 piece wall that sits behind the seats and supports two horizontal C- channels. These C-channels hold a removable lift panel that is held in place with 4 quick release pins. Equipment is accessible by access through the tailgate, and now, through a locked access panel behind the drivers side passenger seat. There are side wing panels that fit tightly around the roll bar and follow the contour of the body for a perfect fit.
This system was designed to be used with or without a top in place. Run it with the top on or off. Access is still only through the tailgate, and now through a lockable panel on the forward wall. Secure all your summer gear without having to worry about them being stolen. The removable panel can be tilted up, removed and locked in a vertical position if you need to carry tall items. Secure anything you need like never before. Additional slotted fence plates mount on top to incorporate stacking of equipment on top up to 200 pounds safely. The mounting brackets and C- channels allow for strong, secure mounting of the lift panel. The structure on the underside of the lift top is staggered to fit current industry molle panels for additional secure storage. If you are looking for a secure storage system for your Wrangler JK, look no further.

where did you get those roll bar covers from?
ReplyDeleteSeems like it would rattle a lot and piss me off. Also, the 2 door version does not allow back seats to be used which sucks. 4 door version seems ok but not the 2 door version. On top of that it costs $699.99 for the 4 door, and $649.99 for the 2 door version. I mean wow... the price is ridiculous.. I would not but this.
ReplyDeleteWill it work with a hardtop?
ReplyDeleteJosh Ciulla
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good product! You always do a great job with your videos!
ReplyDeleteYes.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the two door vs four door. It's the same with all of the security enclosures I've ever looked at. I'm honestly surprised they arent the same price. It's the same size and quality enclosure... And value is relative. I'm prepping for a trip to moab where I'd like to run a soft/no top...and I'll be out and about on the trails for almost two weeks with all my gear kept in the Jeep. I also drive doorless and topless often in and around Baltimore. Having secure storage is worth every cent to me so I don't have to run a hard top to "be secure". As far as the rattling... well... I hear none so far, but I haven't been wheeling with it. I assume you didn't watch the whole video where I mentioned the solution if there is rattling of the pins.
ReplyDeleteBartact... but they do not make them for the public right now.
ReplyDeletewith all those pins seems like a rattle nightmare, keep us informed
ReplyDeleteYou could always bolt it together. I have so many things in my jeep that *should* rattle, that I never hear... my hi-lift, my two fire extinguishers, etc, etc.
ReplyDeleteGreat install! Quick question.... would this enclosure work with a Trektop NX? It seems to cover the areas where you would attach the rear straps for tension.
ReplyDeleteI have my Trektop NX on right now... goes over the enclosure fine. However, rear straps are on the TJ version, not the JK... so I have no straps.
ReplyDeleteJust did a quick check... the 4dr and 2dr are different. I have a 2dr JK and it still has straps that hook under the rear inner lip of the tub. Sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteOn one of the diabolical install videos they mentioned grabbing a can of plasti-dip and dipping the pins to keep them from rattling
ReplyDeleteAny way the enclosure could be installed and keep the rear seat recline kit in? From the last shots of the video it doesn't look like it is possible.
ReplyDeleteNice, but how’s the noise.... looks like a rattletrap. After a long trip the rattling may drive someone crazy.
ReplyDeleteWill you make any video that you go off road
ReplyDeleteGreat install as usual!
ReplyDeleteI have Offroad videos. You should review my channel.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard a rattle yet.
ReplyDeleteXavier Randolf not possible. Trust me. I looked. Lol
ReplyDeleteo3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] Great to hear it is quite! Thanks for the reply and always love to see the new videos.
ReplyDeleteXavier Randolf I mentioned that in my video too.
ReplyDeleteI’ve had my for about 6 months I love it no rattles I did have to drill six 2” holes on the back panel to let sounds from the subwoofer come inside the cabin. Tomorrow send some pics.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in one of these for my JLU. The website mentions it'll fit a JLU, but there's no way to be sure. They don't show an email address or a phone number. I agree that the JK and JL are similar, but they're definitely quite different.
ReplyDeleteJeff Barton I’m in the same boat. I’m ready to pull the trigger for one for my JLUR, but can’t be sure without asking a question or two.
ReplyDeleteCan you still use your soft top with this product?
ReplyDeleteThere is a phone number and address at the bottom of every page. Also is the owner's email. I called and bugged him a lot. He's busy (he travels a lot). If he says it fits a JLU, it fits. This guy is a very detail-oriented guy... seriously.

Yes. I have my Trektop NX on right now over it.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah... True. I forgot you had a two-door. For what it's worth here's how it fits with mine. https://www.instagram.com/p/BkH16shHF9L/
ReplyDeleteIf you're interested in doing this, I wouldn't let that particular thing stop you. It would be really easy to cut a notch for those straps in the wing skins. They're really thin and I just think that it could still be a really great option
ReplyDeleteGreat install, I love that this is available for the 2 door, this is just what I have been looking for. I take my dogs with me so removing the panels easily is perfect for when they are along.
ReplyDeleteGreat install and review! When I upgrade to a 4 Door JL Rubi this will be the first or second upgrade.
ReplyDeleteYou should spray bed liner your interior I did it to my Jeep and it was the best modification I’ve done
ReplyDeleteThe price is way out there OUCH
ReplyDeleteAwe to thank you
ReplyDeleteCPO do you think some spring loaded lock pins would work for a quick unlock for the pins closest to the rear door? Or something like a truck canopy's locking rods?
ReplyDeletePlug those tailgate holes! I personally prefer the rubber plugs. Very snug fitment.

Great vid and tips! I have one more for ya Chris. Maybe put some fender/door edge moulding gaurd on that rear edge.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a complete solution for rear cover security but what is really diabolical is the price. However, it IS a JEEP, Just Empty Every Pocket.
ReplyDeleteThe SteerSmarts Yeti XD Kit was packed the best I've seen!
ReplyDeleteThat could be a show stopper that back seat is brutal without the recline kit.
ReplyDeleteI have one similar to that. When I have the doors and top off and I park at a store. I hit the alarm/lock (to lock the tailgate) people look at me funny like.. why did he lock his jeep..it has no doors.... but they just don't know...
ReplyDelete❤️❤️❤️ Hi. Who ŵanÆ«s to daÅ¥e me? Åšee my ņude phоƫоs and videos ❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteღ ღ ღ loprot.faceprofile.icu ღ ღ ღ
can you fit a arb fridge/freezer inside of that enclosure?
ReplyDeleteHey, great video, do you have a a list of tools needed for this install? Thx
ReplyDeleteLooky-Lou's? Out in these here parts they are Nebby Neb$h!ts!
ReplyDeleteAt 2:22 is that your radio external speaker on the back of the console?
ReplyDeleteThats a great question. I went to their website and they make raised covers you can buy for added storage. There is a picture on the website that shows an ARB Fridge under the raised storage.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the video. I really like this system but I would like to still keep my rear recline kit
ReplyDeleteBye bye packing peanuts!
ReplyDeleteI would love your old rear seat recline if you haven't tossed them out... jeepin on an uber tight budget lol.
ReplyDeleteHey CPO - Any chance you can let me know the dimensions of the new hinged top? Trying to figure out if it could work and I am curious of what the sizes are since they are two different sized pieces. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMatthew Russell 16 3/8 for the larger one. 11 5/8 for the smaller one. *plus or minus 1/8" 😄 They are 38 1/2 wide.
ReplyDeleteYeah.. temp location... But it's been there for a while. Lol
ReplyDeleteDon Sumner not positive. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteo3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] thanks CPO! Your videos are the best.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Thank you for the install and review. Quick Question - saw on another video that your were going to install the kit to recline the back seats by a couple of inches. Will this still work with the back seat recline modification?
ReplyDeleteWell there you go again emptying my wallet. Just bit the bullet and ordered mine. Sure I'll be back again soon to watch this install video, thanks for doing this, I'm sure it will be a big help.
ReplyDeleteeuckilla this is one of my favorite mods.... So much more comfortable walking away with tools in the back....
ReplyDeleteSpent a few days up in the Sierra's with my Dad and my new to me 2015 JKU, had the top off the whole time. Never really took the top off my YJ for whatever reason, but the JK is a different animal in my opinion, I see the top being off quite a bit. Completely agree about the tools in the back part, I'd lose my mind if someone stole all that stuff I've spent a lifetime gathering. Only things that were holding me back on the Slipstream were the price and wondering how it would affect the stereo/sub. Quick message to them on fb and they told me people liked the extra enclosure on the sub, and they gave me an early discount for the 4th of July sale they were thinking about having. Pretty much had to buy it at that point. lol And oh yeah, I let them know that I got the idea from watching your video, which is the truth. So thanks for the great content, I do appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteSo, yea, I saw your popcorn packaging float away....lol
