No... but I have recorded with my camera in OVERCLOCK3D... It's a Thinkware F750 with 770 firmware.... It's a 1080P camera (so not quite as good of resolution as this, but here's a video to show you what that looks like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8e6eMYzKijs

I think I may just hardwire it into the fuse box behind the glovebox. I want to have him run it like this for a bit before I make it any more permanent, to make sure it's all good.

  8. You can not cut the end of and hard wire it. The cigarette plug drops the voltage to the dash cam. If you run 12 volts to the dash cam you will let the magic smoke come out.

Kirk Armstrong That is correct. I'd have to use a 5v regulator. I have a few laying around from my RC stuff..... When I was building fpv flyers that used the same micro USB power sources. :-)

  12. What dashcam do you have in the JK? I remember seeing in your security install that it also records the cabin and is always on unless that was a different video that I’m recalling?

  14. When I installed a Magellan GPS, radar detector and Sirius radio in my vehicle, I mounted a three way power port under the dash hidden that was switched with ignition. When I started the the vehicle everything turned on and appeared that everything was hardwired to the vehicle, but everything could be removed and moved to a different vehicle if the original vehicle was sold.

It's just a factory mirror... it was an option for the 04, which is what we have. It has a temp and compass reading.

I have a dual camera F750 (with F770 firmware) in the JK. It has parking mode when hardwired, and either does motion or timelapse recording when the Jeep is off. I mounted the second camera (which is designed to point out the back window), above the rearview mirror and pointing back... which captures the interior.
