From the website:

If you want Power Tank Performance but you're on a compressor budget here's a starter system that is just as fast as the more expensive Power Tank Package Deals but without some of the frills. Add on accessories later as you can afford them. This is a 10 LB system; the most popular size that we sell. We call it a 10 LB system because that is how much CO2 gas it can hold when full.
The 10 LB tank comes in your choice of colors: Team Yellow, Candy Blue, Gloss Black, Matte Black, and Candy Red.
Details:

Armorcoat Tank with chrome valve
10 lb. PT System Basic
HP250i Regulator
Power Grip Guard
30 Foot Superflex Braided Hose
Coupler Fittings
Tire Air Chuck
Dim: 7 Inch dia. x 24 Inch Ht., 27 lb. wt. full

Back when Steve invented the first Power Tank in 1996 it was to inflate his offroad tires after wheeling through a trail to keep them from getting chewed up driving to the nearest gas station. This new concept worked so well that he decided to make it into a product and offer it to other offroaders. One year later the first prototype was refined into the first commercial Power Tank and was put on the market. It was not as refined as today's Power Tank but it was Fast and people liked it. Pretty soon the little Power Tank company in Steve's garage needed his full time attention so he quit his salary job as a designer at a leading bicycle company and became Power Tank Steve full time. Power Tanks are sold all over the world to several different markets but the market that we have the most passion for still is the off road market. And as tires have gotten bigger and tire pressures have increased the need for Power Tanks has grown. Do yourself a favor.

If you're looking for an air system or you're ready to upgrade your air system talk to a Power Tank owner and ask them why they'll never go back to a compressor ever again.

  3. I also use ARB compressor for lockers & co2 to air up. Had Powertank & unfortunately got stolen, figured I'd give Smittybilt rendition a try being $150 cheaper. My expectations werent high but to my delight it proved to be just as good...tbh, damned if I could differentiate the 2 if you took off the decals.

  5. Hey quick question about your jeeps arms. I heard long arms are good if you aren’t rock crawling and help with being driven daily, how do you like long arms and which ones are you rocking?

  6. When you bleed off the regulated pressure does the air goes back in the tank or do you lose that air ??

Any CO2 remaining in the hose is bled off through the regulator. It is a very small amount, however.

Long arms definitely improve ride quality and can improve overall flex. It's not as much of a difference on the JK as it used to be with older models... since the JK uses a midarm system. The problem with long arms in the rocks is that they do end up becoming sliders. :-) I've slid my arms across many rocks... but they rarely get hung up. I'm not positive it's any worse than drop brackets!

  16. I’m running 35x20x12.5 on my jku. What psi should I have in my tires?

    ReplyDelete
  17. So technically I could run an air driven tool off of this such as an impact gun or nailer?

Sonnicman yes... It can even run a nailer!

  20. I use my power tank with the jeepsneeds 4 tire inflator set at 150psi. Fills the tires evenly and fast

  22. Love your videos Chris. Super professional.

As a retired Navy instructor I see things most don't and I had to let you know what I've been observing. The only distractions I can really comment on is the amount of times you visibly did these things in this video.

Stick out your tongue (not including words that start with TH) 32 times.
    Swallowing saliva pauses. 20 times.

Not saying you should feel self-conscious or try to stop these traits, just bringing them to your awareness. They could be distracting to some or maybe just me? Haha

    Again,
    Love your vids man!
Jeep waving like a dork at ya!

  23. Do you still use the Jeeps Needs Hurricane? I haven’t seen it in your recent videos about airing up. If you stopped, is there any specific reason why?

    ReplyDelete
  24. o3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ]July 26, 2018 at 3:32 AM

Yes, I still have it. It hasn't been in the Jeep lately but it's still around. I don't use it in the videos because I'm trying not to confuse people with too many things! lol I was wondering how it would work with this Powertank, but I've been told that it takes longer to set up the hurricane than it does just to walk around and fill all the tires! I'll have to play with that some. I still really like how the Hurricane equalizes the air pressure across all four tires at once.

That's a hard question to answer because there are so many factors involved. Have you seen any videos on the "chalk test"? That's a good place to start. I tend to just try and stay in the 28-32 range on the road. I don't get to anal about it. I rotate my tires regularly and so far everything has been wearing fine. My minimum road pressure, and prob where I should run, is around 25 psi.

  27. Would compressed air work instead of co2? I have access to a breathing air compressor but I live in a small town and to get co2 is far commute.

  28. o3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ]August 16, 2018 at 4:06 PM

Jimmy Howard would work fine. It would be alot slower, but it's no different than compressed air tanks installed with on board air systems.
