DIY Alignment Toe Set Tool, 5 lug Patterns
=====================================================
http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/diy-alignment-toe-set-tool-5-lug-patterns.html
Going off road means things are going to get bent, loosened up, and need repair. It would get expensive fast if you had to take your truck in for alignment every time you worked on the front end.
While camber and caster can be adjusted on most vehicles, there is not much adjustment for camber on solid axle trucks. While caster can be adjusted either with control arms on 4- and 3-link trucks or with leaf spring shims on leaf spring trucks, toe is sometimes hard to adjust without help or a special tool.
For all of these reasons, there is the DIY Alignment Toe Set Tool. To use, just follow these simple steps:
Put your vehicle on jack stands
Remove the wheel
Bolt the tool to your hub
Align the tool side to side at the same level
Apply brakes
Use tape measure to check toe in and toe out as well as total toe
To find camber, rotate the tool up and attach a magnetic angle finder
Works great and saves you money!
Most vehicles are approximately 1/8-1/4" total toe in. We like to run about 1/8" toe in to avoid tire wear since incorrect toe is the major cause of tire wear on any vehicle.
This kit includes (2) toe alignment plates - laser cut and zinc plated for corrosion resistance.
Center Hole Diameter: 4.5"
Lug Hole Diameter: 1/2" (can be drilled larger for larger lugs)

Reid Racing Jeep Heavy Duty JK Dana 30 – Rubicon 44 Knuckles:
=====================================================
https://reidracing.biz/products/jeep-heavy-duty-jk-dana-30-rubicon-44-knuckles/
Product Description:
The new Jeep Wrangler JK Dana 30/Rubicon 44 knuckles are heavy duty stock replacement knuckles. Raised steering linkage, dual steering stops, and increased strength are the primary improvements while installation is simplified by allowing the OEM “outers” to be reused.
Sold individually
JK001L (left, driver’s side)
JK001R (right, passenger’s side)
Uses stock 2007+ Jeep Wrangler JK brake rotors, calipers, stub shafts and U-joints.
Fits JK Dana 30, JK Rubicon Dana 44, and Mopar & aftermarket JK axles.
Easy bolt-on installation with no machining required.
Aftermarket high strength axle shafts, U-joints/CV joints, and stub shafts can be used.
Antilock Brakes, Traction Control, and Electronic Stability Control systems remain fully operational.
Steering linkage is raised as high as possible while retaining clearance for OEM Jeep and most aftermarket wheels.
Tie Rod gains 1.5 inches of clearance to minimize vulnerability to trail damage.
Drag Link is flipped and gains 3 inches of height to perfectly correct the steering geometry for the common 3-4 inch suspension lift; minimizes additional steering correction for taller suspension lifts. Requires an aftermarket drag link, and we recommend a track bar bracket to eliminate bump steer. Works with any standard JK drag link flip kit.
Cast from high strength ductile iron.
Beefed up with extra material and ribbing.
Cast-in DUAL steering stops eliminate bent stop bolts that can cause u-joint and axle failures.
Tapered tie rod holes fit OEM-size tie rod ends; “1-ton” tie rod ends used in some aftermarket steering linkage may require very minor modification – call for details.
Tie rod holes can be drilled to accept 3/4″ heim ends.
Powder coated bright orange for long lasting looks.

Dealer inquiries welcome. Knuckles for off road use only.
There is no warranty on this product.

Keep it goin!
ReplyDeleteI'm almost done with this series!
ReplyDeleteWhat was wrong with the yeti stuff you had ?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the video. Since you're pretty spot on with toe, have you found any need for an alignment shop (assuming you haven't changed caster or thrust) after using the LROR tool?
ReplyDeleteRick I was thinking the same thing.
ReplyDeleteProbably nothing. I don't think cpo talks sponsors (probably a dirty word to some folks), but the reality of YouTube and "free" content is that he needs to keep putting on new products and demonstrating the installs to keep the channel going and viewership up. Doesn't mean anything is wrong with the take offs. I have all yeti stuff and love it. The aluminum TMR is cool, but unless you bend/break, no reason to change. If you're stock, pick the one you like better...maybe slightly different purpose for each. I enjoyed the series regardless, if anything, just to check out a product I've never seen before... especially the LROR toe adjustment tool.
ReplyDeleteGlen Davis I installed the Yeti tie rod and I believe that is the last one my jeep will need, God willing. That thing is as good and beefy as they come. I have the Synergy drag link and Teraflex hd front and rear track bars. OME HD 3" coil springs w/ 33" Duratracs and a lot of other stuff. My rig is set suspension wise. Actually it is almost set as a whole. I never thought I would ever be able say that. It's just minor things now, bedrug, amber fog lights and ARB twin compressor and I'm done. I've put about $12k in aftermarket parts & accessories. So I'm good. Cool Jeep feeling. Recently added the afe scorpion cat back exhaust and Teraflex diff covers. I can't recommend these enough. The afe cat back exhaust is amazing. The growl on this is absolutely awesome. But the best part of it is the mpg I've gained. Went from about 275 miles a tank up to 320. The throttle is much more responsive. You're not going to win any races with this 3.8L but what a vast improvement.
