In this video I install Tuffy Security product number two of three that's going in the front of the Jeep. Last video was the driver's seat conceal carry security drawer, and this one is the center console security insert... and yes, I also added the optional security bolts.

Saw this coming to always good videos
ReplyDeleteSo what does this rig weigh in at?
ReplyDeleteWhere do you get that trim removal tool? I tried going to my car dealer's parts dept. and they said they don't sell them.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! When I was shopping for a product like this I was wondering how it was bolted and how securely it would be. Thanks for tips!
ReplyDeleteGreat video. They also make a passenger drawer but might be a pain to mess with
ReplyDeleteharbor frieght has cheap ones
ReplyDeleteOnce you have one Tuffy product you want another one. I got three and looking at the under rear seat drawer next.
ReplyDeleteNice job keeping OverClocked safe and secure when topless
ReplyDeleteAs volcer said, Harbor Freight works... or I got a set off Amazon for cheap: https://amzn.to/2zgSNXt But honestly... I wouldn't buy one for this job. That piece of trim you are removing doesn't get re-used... :-)
ReplyDelete10K pounds!
ReplyDeleteI’m on my 4th JK and the console box has gone in everyone of them. Jeep has to be stolen for them to get it out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info., yeah, I wasn't necessarily thinking of needed it for this project but for lots of other ones needing to pull trim off.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteGreat job👍
ReplyDeletered hot coat hanger or nail would've put a hole through for drilling
ReplyDeleteThis may be off topic love the install videos. What kind of seat covers do you have? I need sweet covers bad.
ReplyDeleteMrFields516 these. Best there is. https://youtu.be/ZAGBTHysngs

ReplyDeleteWhen you said you wouldn't loose the charging port on the inside, I was trying to figure out how it would work with the metall box, then as you are installing it, I can see it has the little cutout for the wires. That is a very slick box sir, thanks so much for sharing, I can see this being installed on my jeep one day as well, the only thing i keep in the little top tray is a mint or two and insurance card, I never seam to pull the right button and mess with it three or four times anyhow, so one top would be just fine. Keep us posted on how you like it and if is seams to be a pain using the to unlock it when you just need that one little thing and the keys are in your pocket or ignition.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great install video sir and have a blessed and happy holiday.
I ordered mine with the combo version. I can lock and unlock mine while driving if needed.
ReplyDeleteI have a thumb drive in the USB port with all my music. Will the added thickness of the metal box affect whether the drive can seat or not? 'Hope that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteBest channel.
ReplyDeleteHere's to hoping that CJ's TJ gets the same Tuffy love as you document the install [since I drive an older model as well]!
Love the install videos, what cover do you have for the roll bar?
ReplyDeleteWhen you started the video it seems like the lid rattles a tiny bit. I instantly expected you to add some foam stripping around the edge somewhere to mitigate that. So does it rattle or is my OCD just ticking again?
ReplyDeleteGreat video. Gonna have to order mine
ReplyDeletesavagecomanche I thought about that... actually.... It is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteYouMeandTennessee it doesn't rattle.
ReplyDeletetoobigal I'll have to check. Remind me if I forget
ReplyDeleteDies Vincent Bartact... But they are not able to make it be bought.
ReplyDeleteWow this is a really well engineered box! Love how the USB is still useable.
