In this video, I added the Tuffy JK Glove Box. Now I don't have a lot of valuables in my glove box today... but I do have some important things BEHIND the glove box... such as my CB. So adding the Tuffy glove box helps protect that as well.

So what are going to do when there’s nothing else to change on your jeep? ;) My only concern with this mod is it screams look in here, it’s where I keep the good stuff
ReplyDeleteWhats that white thing that kept moving on its own? Looked like it was attached to some kind of servo motor
ReplyDeleteI for one can’t stand rattles. Maybe you aren’t getting any, but, I would probably bedline the inside.
ReplyDeleteAll that stuff from your glove box (non-valuable) should move into Molle pouches to hang on your bartact seat covers.
ReplyDeleteThat handle screams “hey there’s something locked in here”
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if the bottom right sticks out at a point and might dig into the passanger's leg while getting in. Do not look like it has very good fit and finish.
ReplyDeleteIf you still have the tow hitch you should check out the hitch safe on AMAZON or eBay, it's pretty cool
ReplyDeleteHow bad does the box rattle? How bad do the contents rattle inside of it? Could use a rubberized coating on at least the inside. ..
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to tape your install of the Tuffy Glove Box. Gives me something to think about.
ReplyDeleteI have one of these in my Jeep also, when my best friend got in and saw it for the first time he said “it looks like an episode of scooby doo, if I push on that am I going to fall through a trap door?”
ReplyDelete"Where's my knife?" Aren't you wearing pants, CPO?
ReplyDeleteGreat video. Off topic but what switches are you running down by your shifter. I’m looking to install switches but don’t want them above my rear view mirror
ReplyDeleteI have heard lots of bad reviews for this Tuffy product.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the excellent video! Which colour is that - black, or dark slate? Could the bolts and wing nuts that secure the stop be installed the other way around? I can picture someone skinning their knuckles or gouging the back of their hand while rummaging around in the box in the dark.
ReplyDeleteMine is black... the older JKs... 7-11? were that charcoal gray color... but they since moved to black.
ReplyDeleteDaystar panel and OTRATTW switches
ReplyDeleteo3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] thanks
ReplyDeleteI searched my orders to be sure... this is the exact one I bought. https://amzn.to/2NlVWXX
ReplyDeleteDid you make in install video. If so let me know
ReplyDeleteI've covered it in a couple of videos I think... not in great detail.... but maybe this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyqTt-KscvE
ReplyDeleteNever understood this product and after seeing the fitment issue it's even more head scratching. A lock box that is no bigger than stock but is heavier, louder, PITA to install, and looks out of place. Unless people are trying to C4 your stock glovebox I see no reason for this Tuffy.
ReplyDeleteGreat video/install by you O3D but sad Tuffy, sad.
